Samuel Earl Smith was the president of the Teamsters Union 3795 in Wichita Ks. He started there in 1952.

Samuel married Elva Emma Reed, daughter of Foster Franklin Reed and Laura Ann Sheridan, on 4 Feb 1935 in Saline County Marshall Mo. The marriage ended in divorce on 6 May 1950. (Elva Emma Reed was born on 9 Nov 1915 in Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri, died on 26 Apr 1994 in St Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, MO and was buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri.)

They married in Feb 4, 1935 and divorced in May 6, 1950 then remarried on June 30, 1951 in Sedalia Mo then divorced in Aug 13, 1957 in Wichita Ks.
The reason for the first divorce was Samuel Smith had a affair with Ora Halfacres by which a child was born on 8-10-1950. He did marry Ora Halfacres for a short time to give the child his name and then divorced her mother.
